A good place to go to try something different from Dogfish Head. It had some decent beers on tap, with a good atmosphere and good food, and it was close to the beach.

Visited 02/16/17 (a Thursday), which is not exactly the peak of the season. But there was actually pretty decent crowd there - maybe 75-80% full? Pretty impressive for a winter weekday in slower lower Delaware.

Staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and very pleasant. Menu is extensive and the food is quite good. Beer menu is extensive with a dozen or more offerings from Big Oyster (their in-house brewery) plus an equal number of local and not-so-local craft breweries. Big Oyster Precipice DIPA is particularly tasty.

I'm rating the Big Oyster part of Fins Ale House... the restaurant itself is alright, just another big eatery in Rehoboth filled with locals drinking BMC and eating overpriced (but good looking) seafood. They have 18 guests of good craft and non-craft beer, and 9 taps of Big Oyster brews.

Come here for the house beers. Big Oyster is the BOMB! Brettanosaurus Rex (a 9.7% DIPA) was delicious, delicate and complex. Noir et Bleu is a tripel with blueberry and black tea that knocked my socks off with discreet balance and charm... Horus & Seth (a Black DIPA with Belgian yeast from Ardennes) was good but a little odd.

Their IPA's (Hammerhead and Mango Hammerhead) weren't as interesting but still mighty drinkable. Their offerings change often, which is reason enough to go back. This is a little brewery pushing the boundaries inside a "mainstream" restaurant.

Great beers of their own as well as other good, well thought out selections. For a brew pub, food choices are great and quality excellent.
