Note that this review is a matter of personal preference! I'm not a tremendous fan of milkshake/lactose IPAs - I'm allergic to dairy, and these tend to have unpleasant consequences for me... though they can occasionally taste pretty decent. Vanilla milkshake IPAs are pretty damn great, actually. Again: the style is not my favorite.
That being said - Two Straws is likely one of the least creamy, least lactose-forward milkshake IPAs I've had. This is a big win, in my opinion. No unpleasantness for me - good deal. It does boast a nice, light, fruity guava taste and nose. The head is a good finger's width, and the beer itself is fairly clear - I like seeing that. Haze is pretty and all, but I love that classic filtered look.
It's a very pleasant tropical beer - I like it and approve.
