Dan's Stout

Dan is a member of our brew team and our neighbourhood dad joke aficionado. As bad as his jokes usually are, this stout is the furthest thing from. We designed this beer to have a medium body and a moderate alcohol content to make it more drinkable than our typical dark beer offerings. The addition of lactose provides a big mouth feel and residual sweetness to help accent the dried fruit. We finished this beer on dried figs and a small amount of dried cherries. Chocolate and roasted malts dominate the aroma, with chocolate and coffee coming through on the palate up front, and dried fruit on the back end. Allow this stout to warm up a bit to help accentuate the dried fruit character.
