Poured from can into snifter.
Looks: Dark, chocolatey brown, almost black. Thin one-finger tan head that quickly fades to
completely nothingness.
Smell: Absolutely overwhelming hazelnut smell. Like getting beat with a sock full of raw, crushed hazelnuts rolled in Nutella and sugar. Some chocolate and whiskey notes in there, just a bit of smoke and rye as well.
Taste: Here goes. Blugh. As I expected based on the nose- cloyingly sweet, heavily synthetically flavoured. Also, the stout base is too dark to mesh with the candy-like flavourings, instead contrasting dramatically. It's a shame, because I LIKE dark stouts, but when you follow a sugar bomb nutty chocolate bar with one, the contrast destroys all the nuance of the stout base and just makes it taste like ash in comparison.
Feel: Fuck, I have to take another sip to judge the mouthfeel. It's okay, I'll do it, but I was REALLY looking forward to sending this guy down the drain when I picked the glass up just now. I hate waste but I hate whatever this is much, much more.
Okay, medium-thick body, slightly oily, slight carbonation. I can barely feel the texture over the visceral reaction my entire being has to the flavour.
Overall: Well, I wasn't nuts about it, that's for sure.
(Maybe the worst beer I've ever had? Such a shame from a brewery that's given us bangers like Imperial Con Leche Stout.)

Poured from a 473ml can.
Well a nice looking pour and a nice Hazelnut nose but it ended there.
This beer has a chemical taste to it ,kind of like bad hazelnuts.
perfumer below described it right , i kind of wonder if this was a run of bad cans.
I had to dump this one right away.
