Poured this one into my new copper pint cup. Darker Amber in color (poured some into a glass to get a better look) with a full head. The smell was floral and malty but not overly malty. Some grassy tones thrown in there as well. The taste was slightly boozy and malty but there was a nice bitterness as well. The bitterness was more grassy and piney than tropical. Overall it was a good beer. Could use some tweaking but not bad at all.

Thanks to JLindros for sharing this bottle.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a crystal clear amber hue with a fat two finger off white head that had great lacing and legs that fades to leave nice wisps.
S - Aromas of big, bright citrus. Nice pungent hops, nice light sweetness, hop candy like. Good soft floral notes, light pine. The New Zealand hops are quite pleasant.
T - Taste is similar to the nose. Light bubblegum notes, faint earthy hops, good citrus, nice light tropical notes, there is good lighter sweet pine, very tasty, though, a bit boozy.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, alcohol is definitely noticeable.
O - Overall this is a solid beer, though like the other double ipa Dave has done this is just a bit on the boozy side.

Pours a big creamy fluffy 2 finger head, fades slowly with thick soapy lacing, clear amber nectar orange color.
Nose big hops, juicy generic tropical fruit, peach apricot stone fruit, orange marmalade hop candy, little earthy spicy hop, maybe some candied pineapple, faint grassy zest and pine notes, fair sweet malt and candy, touch of booze.
Taste brings sweet candy malts out front, a little booze, touch syrupy, then into big candied hops, earthy spicy hops, a little pine, then fruit, candied fruit, some stone fruit apricot like into an apricot orange marmalade, fair booze warmth and a little bubblegum ester profile, generic fruit in general, back end is generic tropical fruit and little candied dried pineapple. Dry slightly sticky finish, lingering tropical and candied fruits.
Mouth is med to heavier bod, little syrupy, decent carb.
Overall mixed, it had some great components, but the sweet syrupy characters and the booze are a bit much.
