Draft at brewery
Big fluffy pillow head, great retention and lacing, crystal clear dark mahogany ruby colour

Nose sweet toasted slight biscuity some caramel toffee Maillard notes, bit of dark fruit, hint of grassy hop, little nutty

Taste mild sweetness, malt forward big biscuity toasted malt, mild caramel toffee sweet characters, hints at roasty hint at metallic but doesn't get there thankfully, some nutty flavors, touch doughy, soft smooth lager, some bitter grassy almost spicy hops kicking in late, dry crisp finish with lingering spicy hops, hops get a bit on the high end but still supports the malt nicely, good dextrinous finish.

Mouth is med bod nice carb and soft lager

Overall quite nice. Comparing to BJCP dunkles this was very well done, right to style but still fun enough to enjoy, maybe a bit too bitter if I had to point out anything

Picked this up at the brewery.

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice crystal clear mahogany garnet hue with a nice two finger light tan head that fades nice and slowly to leave a thick creamy blanket.

S - Aromas of toasty malts, light caramel, fair amount of metallic aroma as well.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, big toasty malts along with nice caramel notes. There is some very faint nuttiness. Not overly sweet, Finish has some very, very light hop spicyness and just a little bit of bitterness.

M - Mouthfeel is mildly carbonated, comes across as a little on the thin side.

O - Overall this would be on the low end of Flying Dreams beers for me. It's certainly a solid beer, but, not my favorite.
