Hoppy Kettle Sour using 50% wheat (based on Berliner Weiss). 1st fermentation with Lactobacillus in the kettle. 2nd fermentation with American Ale yeast. Lots of American and New Zealand hops are added, starting at the whirlpool, then during primary fermentation, and finally in the bright tank. This concoction is wonderfully hoppy and tart and dry and tasty!
Hopped with: Wakatu, Azacca, Equinox, Ahtumn

Picked up at the brewery, shared with JLindros
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy golden hue with a thin head that faded almost immediately to leave light wisps.
S - Aromas of enormous lemons, lemonade, lemon peel, solid citrus, almost star fruit like tartness. Nice light wheat, pleasant yeast notes. Almost sweet tart like candy notes.
T - Taste is similar to the nose, loads of creamy wheat, big lacto notes. Like cream and grains. Nice lemon notes, though it does not pop as much as the nose. Solid tartness.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, crisp, clean, not really flemmy either.
O - Overall this was a very solid beer from Dave. Nice and tart. Well done.

Light fizzy head fades instantly, very hazy murky lemon pale color, little sediment
Nose is all lemonade, tons of sweet and sour lemon, a little grapefruit and star fruit, tart lactic acid funk little bready yeast and creamy wheat
Taste very sour tart lemony, funky sour, some cereal bready toasted creamy wheat, like Cheerios mixed with creamy lactic acid, creamy wheat, sour acidic funk, some generic citrus and star fruit, lemon is there but less than the nose, little flemmy bready finish
Mouth is med to light bod, little creamy, flemmy acidic, decent carb
Overall pretty good, great lemon nose, some acidic flemmy funk, quite sour, wish the lemon popped more on the taste, pretty nice
