(6.2%. 32 IBU) Smokeshow Brown Ale is a beer brewed for a girl with a love of malt. Malty and smooth, yet very drinkable with a relatively dry finish, this brew is well suited for any season or occasion. Brewed with hearty amounts of barley, oats, and wheat (and just a pinch of cherry wood smoked malt), Smokeshow Brown Ale has beautiful complexity, yet remains wonderfully smooth. Picture hanging out in a bakery with the aromas of freshly baking brown bread and wood smoke wafting around, and, at the same time, eating honeyed granola with a side of graham crackers. Thanks to my smokeshow, Steph!

Picked up at the brewery. Shared with JLindros.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark brown with a two finger off white head that fades to leave thin wisps.
S - Aromas of light smoked malts, good malts, lightly biscuit forward, nice brown bread. There is a strong cardboard note as well, light wet smoky.
T - Taste is similar to the nose, the biscuit notes are really pleasant. Good brown bread. There is a rather hoppy finish that throws me for a loop.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, creamy, lightly crisp.
O - Overall this was a rather solid beer, but the smoked notes are a bit too strong.

Nice rich thick creamy 1 finger head fades semi slowly nice soapy lacing, clear chestnut mahogany color.
Nose some smoked malt little wet smoldering log, background sweet malt brown sugar toffee, candy sweet malt, little biscuity, faint grassy hop
Taste sweet candy malt, toffee brown sugar caramel, biscuity creamy brown malt, little smoke in the background, smoked malt and little smoldering log, then earthy grassy hop. Lingering bitter earthy hop and smoke notes.
Mouth is med bod, little creamy, decent carb.
Overall eh, base brown was awesome, smoke pretty much ruined it imo. But it's not a bad beer.
