Pours a light fizzy head that fades semi quickly but a finger or so before it does, hint of lacing, mostly clear slight chill hazed golden pilsner color
Nose, oooooh that's nice, I can't stop smelling it, some tart souring, lemony notes, with a bit of raw bread dough, creamy wheat, with an awesome hop presence, a floral fruity mildy dank but big tropical like fruity, reminds me a lot of the original Kiwi style hops, almost like fruity pebbles if they made a tropical version, green tropical fruit, some grapefruit and citrus rind
Taste starts quite sour, a bit acidic, tart lemony and fruity big grapefruit, green Kiwi tropical fruit again, a bit of dankness and floral as well, plenty of lemon, zest, citrus, pineapple, loads of grapefruit juice, maybe a bit of Jack fruit as well, background has a bit of doughy wheaty malts, not much, a bit toasty, some souring bacteria funk and mild flemmy finish, big grapefruit rind lingering, more tropical notes too, and acidic lemon burst
Mouth is a bit lighter bod, nice fizzy carbonation, touch flemmy but nice acidity
Overall this was an awesome beer all around. I just can't stop smelling it, and just very enjoyable for a dry hopped kettle sour.

Picked a bottle of this up at the brewery.
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice slightly chill hazed golden straw hue with a solid two finger white head that faded slowly to leave a nice one finger blanket.
S - Aroma just explodes with fruits courtesy of the hops. Almost juicy fruit or tutti frutti like. Nice grapefruit aroma along with decent floral notes. Explosive tropical aromas as well. Under it all though is a rather strong wheat backbone, along with strong doughy aromas, that never quite gets overshadowed by the aromatic hops. Little bit of creamy lactic lemon tartness as well.
T - Taste is similar to the nose, the initial hit of lactic tartness, lemons, citrus, grapefruit are balanced by a rather nice tropical note before giving way to a very prominent doughy flavour. The tartness never really leaves and stays throughout but transitions from the fruity hops to creamy wheat and bread dough which does become a big aggressive and overpowering. Finish is pleasantly tart and crisp.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, crisp, clean. Slightly flemmy which is par for the style.
O - Overall this was a very nice Berliner. The hops here were just excellent and really popped on the nose. For my tastes I would have preferred the bready/yeasty flavour turned down just a bit only because of how great of a flavour combination those hops brought to the table. Really hoping Dave makes more of these Berliners some summer time. Very nicely done.
