Pours a large fluffy foamy thick frothy 1.5 finger head that fades slowly with tons of lacing, mostly clear slight hazed bright golden honey color
NOse is somehow surprisingly unique, hard to describe too, a bit floral grassy with a touch of tea, a bit of dankness as well, with a really complex layered fruit, a bit of candied young stone fruit and burst of melon as well, a big complex melon, watermelon, canteloupe, honey dew even, really interesting, a bit of citrus in the background
Taste brings more melon and bubblegum out front, big ass bubblegum, reminds me of the old school Amarillo beers like bubblegum head, some melon rind and bitter citrus rind as well, big layered melon again, watermelon, honey dew, a little canteloupe, and even dragonfruit, a bit of a young stone fruit, mild dankness and herbal tea notes but very light, just a touch of toasted biscuity malt, dry fair bitter finish
Mouth is med bod, nice fluffy carb. dry almost gritty finish, but very sessionable
Overall quite nice, very unique, not sure I'm as excited about it as rudzud but def a great unique IPA.

Picked up a bottle of this at the brewery.
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a just barely cloudy golden hue with a big, creamy two finger white head that slumps down slowly to a nice fat one finger creamy head and leaves light lacing.
S - Aromas of incredibly bright explosive melon notes, excellent citrus juice, real nice almost tropical juicy fruit chewing gum aroma. Just slightly herbal, really nice tangerine with just a little bit of malts.
T - Taste is similar to the nose. An absolute tremendous amount of melons right up front followed by more of that tropical juicy fruit gum. The citrus is not too powerful, more flashes of tangerine zest than anything. By the citrus not being overly aggressive it allows the melon notes to take center stage.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, crisp, little fluffy.
O - Overall this was just an excellent 'session ipa' with the star here being those equinox hops. The huge melon notes are incredibly shocking and not really common in beers. At any ABV this has the flavour profile and aroma of something I could happily drink all day, and considering this one is on the lower scale I could do so without much trouble. The hops here are super dialed in, just absolutely wonderfully done.
