The latest in our Double IPA series features Ekuanot, Amarillo, Citra, Mosaic, and Mandarina Bavaria. It's also our first experiment with cryo hops to keep the same great flavor without losing potential beer to hop matter. After all - beer is meant to be drank, not eaten.

Pours an murky dark orange with a fluffy short lived head.
Smells of piney hops on opening. Tastes of malt and hops with some pineapple and citrus notes. Mildly bitter finish. The 9% alcohol hides pretty well.
Medium body. Slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Light carbonation.
I would say that this brew is in the NE range of IPA's but on the less fruity side.

Tall can, without any canning date info that I can find.
Pours out pretty typical amber with a light to medium haze. and leaving nice looking super fine lacing and sheeting.
Wow, a heavily hopped and yes resiny west coast leaning DIPA...been awhile since I have experienced such a thing, especially coming out of New England/Massachusetts....some grapefruit, some fruit, but its the hop resins that come forward and express themselves....tasty and worth a try.

16 oz can picked up at taproom brewery, poured into pint glass.
Pours amber, mildly hazy, white head, long lasting lace.
Smells sweet and fruity, mango, blueberry, pineapple.
Taste is smooth, somewhat sweet/malty, fruity, resinous, some alcohol peeking through. finished balanced.
Medium body, good mouth feel, well balanced sweet/bitter, clean finish.
Overall, I like the malt/hop balance, and I like that it has a sturdy mid section. The fruitiness is nice without being juicy. The one drawback is the noticable perception of alcohol in the flavor.

Picked up at the brewery and shared with JLindros.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy dark orange hue with a nice white blanket that fades to leave a thin wispy blanket with nice lacing.
S - Aromas of musty onion hops thanks to the use of mosaic. Flashes of pine, orange, and faint tropical. The mosaic overpowers everything.
T - Taste is similar to the nose unfortunately, huge onion notes, vegetative, nice bubblegum notes as well as citrus notes.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated with really nice body. The alcohol is hidden really really well.
O - Overall this was a rather underwhelming beer. The mosaic really clashes with the rest of the hops unfortunately. Still, Dave has come a long way with this dipa mouthfeel!

Thanks to rudzud for picking this up
Huge fluffy creamy head with nice lacing and retention, super hazy semi murky orange tan color
Nose explodes with hops, but I'm mixed on it, musty dank hops but some oniony garlic mosaic like in the background and pine like, spicy notes, some tropical, generic tropical and citrus, little pineapple, sweet amber malts, but can't get past all that terrible musty onion and garlic hops
Taste some sweet malts, reddish amber candy like malts, but tons of onion and garlic notes, thankfully less than the nose but definitely there, more pine sap, little tropical but not a ton, orange and citrus, a little pineapple and fruity bubble gum, candied orange zest marmalade, all the good hops are mostly just drowned out by the Mosaic onion, some tropical notes,
Mouth is med bod, very little alcohol pretty much none, soft and juice, nice carb, well done here at least
Overall the beer seems like it would be a nice beer if not for the ridiculous onion and garlic and pine sap mosaic, that just destroys everything unfortunately.
