Draft at Oktoberfest at the brewery
Mild foamy bubbly head, medium to lower retention, good lacing, crystal clear medium auburn amber ruby color
Nose mild sweet grainy and caramel toasty malts, touch biscuity toffee, sweet reddish malt, light spicy sight herbal hops, mild fruity
Taste more sweet grainy malts, toasty and a little biscuity, toffee, caramel like but not really, toasty reddish Vienna like malt, medium bitterness with earthy spicy hops, good balance, soft lager underneath, dry finish lingering spicy hop bitterness
Mouth is med bod, soft lagering, medium to higher carb
Overall pottery solid alt, doesn't go crazy, good balance, enjoyable but enough character to shine

Enjoyed on tap at the Marlborough Oktoberfest.
A - Poured into a plastic stein a nice crystal clear copper hue with a one finger lightly tan head that fades to leave sticky side lacing and a thin bubbly blanket.
S - Aromas of caramel and malts. Nice bready toast, clean malts, super light noble hops.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with nice slightly sticky sweet caramel malts. Good toasty bread notes followed by slightly grassy noble hops. There is a rather strong bitterness on the finish as well that mixes well with the caramel and malts.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, crisp, clean, bright.
O - Overall this was a very solid altbier. Nice balance of malts and hops with the bitterness preventing things from getting too sweet. Quite solid.
