Draft at the brewery
Light fizzy head, decent lacing, crystal clear honey blond color
Nose is bright with floral herbs, a nice thyme, a bit if potpourri phenol spice notes, light cracker sweet malt, blond malt, fair fruity esters
Taste starts with thyme, almost like a thyme jelly character, and a little pine, fair spicy character, some potpourri phenol spices again, a bit of generic tree fruit esters, outfit cracker and mild sweet blond malts, little cereal, med bitterness with spicy hops, mild sticky finish, med high bitterness more spicy hops and thyme lingering
Mouth is med bod,med frothy carb, touch sticky
Overall this was interesting, really nice at first but then the spicy hops get a tad overwhelming as there isn't as much malt to balance, thyme was a really nice level, flavorful up front and falls back to let the rest of the saison through, and doesn't destroy
