****EDIT****
Redo with new can, that first one seemed off, and due to the settling I needed to swirl it. Much more watermelon and tart gose, some smokey notes which was planned supposedly, the smoke was a bit of a turn-off, but I think that's where the solventy note was coming from before, but def needs to be swirled to get the settled sediment at the bottom.
No can date, but picked up recently at the brewery
Pours a fizzy foamy 1/2 finger head with lowish retention, almost no lacing, hazy orange-prachy pale color
Nose unfortunately brings some bandaid, plastic solvent notes, under that is some mild watermelon, tart lemony yogurt and touch of funk, thankfully the solvent burns off
Taste starts again with bandaid solvent, some acidity kicks in with mild lactic acid and lacto creamy yogurt, a touch lemony funk, some watermelon juice under that, a hint of salt late, juicy watermelon on the back end, creamy doughy wheat and bread up front, dry finish with some bitter rind and lemon
Mouth is med bod, med frothy carb
Overall I'm blown away by this... it has to be a bad can for some reason, I'll try another one and re-review if it really is just this can. If that's bad, I'll go into the tap room and talk to Dave to see what might have happened.
