Draft at the brewery
Creamy tan 1/2 finger head fair retention, fair lacing, dark black color with hint of light
Nose brings a ton of coffee, fresh roasted coffee, a little nutty, roasted malts, hint of char, sweet chocolate oatmeal, cocoa,
Taste starts with more fresh roasted coffee, smooth balanced coffee, a bit nutty and earthy, rich cocoa and a little dark chocolate, bakers choc and mild baking spices, little char, creamy flaked oats, fair bitterness from the roast and mild spicy hops, drier finish, more spicy hops and bitter roast
Mouth is med to fuller bod, creamy, med carb
Overall nice, lots of fresh coffee that dominates but enough of the base beer coming through

Had this on tap at the brewery. Dark chocolate color and fine, foamy, lingering head. Strong coffee notes in the aroma, along with a bit of cereal or biscuit. Taste nicely featured the coffee flavor with surrounding notes of vanilla and honey. The feel was smooth and not too heavy. Overall it was very balanced. I liked that it retained the coffee bitterness and acidity along with the malty flavor of the stout. A very cozy beer.
