Bottle label data: AMBER ALE BREWED WITH PECANS, VANILLA BEANS AND CINNAMON AGED ON BOURBON BARREL OAK CHIPS - Bottle conditioned
Turgid dark amber body; thick, creamy head. Immediate heavy vanilla and nutty aroma; caramel and toffee notes; mild note of fruitiness; berries. Sweet pecan and vanilla flavor; deep caramel flair; subtle boozy note; trace of white oak. Very heavy body; rich and velvety; chewy; mostly sweet finish.
This is an awesome slice of liquid pecan pie! There is a fine balance and depth of complexity to this beer that really jumps out once it crosses your palate. It's definitely on the sweeter side of things and doesn't have much (if any) hop presence, yet really makes you sit up and take notice of all of its pecan and vanilla goodness. I would like to see this one again.
