Ruddy, mahogany colored body; dense, creamy head. Caramel and toasted grain aroma; suggestions of esters. Strong toasted bread, roasted cereal grain flavors; honey sweetness; suggestions of dark fruits; bold hop bitterness. Heavy body; smooth residual sugars; excellent blend of grain sweetness and complimentary alcohol dryness.

This is an excellent big malt beer that digs deep into grainy complexities, very warm and toasty throughout. It nicely balances the grains with a smooth dryness and really keeps the high alcohol content in check. Another fine high gravity offering from this small brewery. Like many of its beers, this most likely will be a one-time offering, and thus a bit of a shame as this (and select other offerings) would be most welcomed if offered on a periodic basis. Enjoy it if you can find it!
