Golden, hazy body; thick, foamy, white head. Strong blend of floral and citrus hops undercut with a bold caramel note; pineapple. Whole grain bread and butter flavor; strong hop bitterness. Medium body; warm and toasty; fairly dry finish.
For a single malt and single hop IPA, this is a rather unique tasting beer. Unfortunately, things don't seem to blend well. The Maris Otter malt brings a nice grain richness to things and the Ron Mexico hops add some great aroma and bitterness, yet the two ingredients just seem to clash on the palate and don't balance out. A bold idea that just didn't pan out too well.
