Semi-hazy, copper tinged body; lots of fine carbonation; thick, foamy, white head. Mild honey and caramel aroma; nutty. Toasted grain flavor with a mild honey sweetness; slow building hop bitterness; some alcohol presence. Heavy body; mostly sweet mouthfeel with a crisp, dry, and warm finish.
Overall, this beer delivers decent sugary flavors with a crisp edge to things. I don't get much of an oatmeal smoothness although there is a fullness to the body. The honey character seems to really take the dominant position as far as sweetness and mouthfeel. Another interesting offering from a unique little Colorado Springs brewery...
