Dark copper colored body; hazy; thin, soapy head. Heavy caramel aroma; oak-like wood. Heavy malt sweetness with an herbal, woody hop bitterness; boozy. Heavy body; prickly with some alcohol heat.
A very different, hot and syrupy yet tasty imperial IPA. It has a strong woody and herbal quality that seems somewhat like licorice or anise. Certainly not a lawnmower beer but would be excellent for a cold, wood-fire type of setting.
