Pale yellow, cloudy body; dense, creamy head. Huge cereal grain aroma; biscuits and honey; some esters with suggestions of pear and red apple. Toasted grains abound with suggestions of bread crust; caramel; oatmeal and granola (flaked oats, Golden Naked oats, and granola being part of the grain bill). Heavy bodied; a little flat yet sticky; generally sweet finish.
The bottle label states "Drink After: January 2016" and seems to have aged well as far as I can tell. This is a very grainy ale that delivers a fine multi-grain taste treat. I would certainly like to have another bottle, aged a bit more, and see how it stands up. But for what is likely a one-shot deal, this has been a fine treat.
