A moderately hopped American Style Wheat aged on Virgin Oak. A great porch sipper, but also imminently pairable with food due to the balance and body with bright piney and oakey overtones.

Light, yellow-gold body, slightly cloudy; nice carbonation; thick, creamy, white head. Very fine pear and green apple scent; white wine. Excellent blend of toasted wheat backbone with a delicate wild ale yeast component; oak; nice phenols; some very faint citrus qualities as the beer warms. Medium body; creamy, soft; dry finish.

One of the finer beers I've tried from Local Relic. This one has aged well (it was released in March, 2016). I can''t speak on its qualities closer to its release date, but this is one I would like to try again. Too bad their beers generally are one-shot deals. Regardless, a very enjoyable beer, perhaps fermented with some sort of wild or brett yeast strain, and truly memorable.
