Big, rich, bourbon-y! Everything you can imagine this beer is by its name? It is! Clocking at an even 10%, this has a rich coffee, toffee, and caramel note accentuated by big bourbon character. Find a chilly day soon to enjoy this, or lay it down for next winter, it'll be delightful either way!

Opaque brown body, nearly black in most light; dense, creamy, sculpted head. Fine aroma of roasted and charred grains infused with a whisky edge; cocoa; roasted nuts. Rich roasted and chocolate malt flavors with a bold yet balanced presence of whisky that builds at the finish; mocha; esters; tannins and some fine bitterness offsetting the malt sweetness. Heavy body; smooth and velvety; undercurrent of soft sweetness counterbalancing some boozy heat.
It's been a long time since I've tried a recent Local Relic beer. This has been a fine discovery. The beer is amazingly complex, rich and balanced. I've said it before and will say it again, it is a shame they don't brew the same beer twice, and this batch only produced 107 bottles per the label. I'm going to have to track down several more of these for cellaring purposes. Aging should do this beer fine. An awesome beer if you can get your hands on it.
