A perennial favorite of head brewer Grant, this beer shows pleasant oak and a slight chile character on the nose, with a gently persuasive hop aromatic. Barrel character shows through more prominently on the palette, rounding out the mild chile character and well balanced hop portfolio.

Amber colored body; thick, foamy head. White oak aroma; white grapes; a twinge of caramel. Malty flavor; some subdued chili flavors. Medium body; warm and velvety; dry overall.
The beer has a solid appearance although the aroma is limited to a wood-like and mildly fruity quality. There is little distinctive oak or IPA flavors although a chili flavor and heat are noticeable. There is a lack of depth and balance although the beer makes for a passable, mild chili beer.
