Situated stylistically between English Pale Ales and Barley wines, this shows a pronounced malt character with just a touch of hop bitterness to keep things balanced. Roast-y, caramel-y, and delightful, and at 10.3%, it's warming without any alcohol heat.

Mildly hazy aspect to the body which has a reddish-brown hue to it; head is thick, frothy, and very long lasting. Strong caramel and dark, toasted malt aroma; heavy sweetness; notes of dried figs and dates on the nose. The taste mirrors a lot of the smell with a huge boozy element; phenolic. Heavy body; warm with alcohol heat.
A decent big beer but a bit unbalanced with the strong alcohol presence that delivers a rather hot edge to things.
