Clear, golden yellow body; dense, lively carbonation; thick head, white with a medium density, long lasting. Delicate fruity and floral aroma; light sweetness. Playful flavors; light sweetness with elements of subtle light malt, woody herbal tones, and fragrant esters; fairly prominent bitterness. Medium mouthfeel; smooth; light stickiness.
In the past, I've always thought Local Relic excelled at high ABV and super dark ales. This chamomile pale lager shows a more refined side of what they can produce. Very small batch and, they claim, they never reproduce the same beer twice. Like some of their bolder dark beers that I'd love to see again (and likely never will, this one will also have to be enjoyed while it briefly exists.
Pouring temperature: 63.3℉; bottling info: Batch Number: 1382, 68 bottles produced
