Sasquatch Double IPA was first brewed in 2004 to honor the newly re-established brewery in McKinleyville. Legendary, like the beast itself, Sasquatch Double IPA, is loaded with Pacific NW, Cascade and Columbus whole cone hops to a beastly 99 IBU then perfectly balanced with our mix of all imported malts.

On tap at the brewery's gastropub in N. California.

I'm really surprised at the low rating of this DIPA. I find it (on draft) to be excellent on almost every respect: feel, flavor, aroma and appearance. The high ABV is well hidden and the otherwise very bitter high hop load is nicely balanced with sweet malts.

Very light amount of white head. Translucent, medium dark orange and reddish appearance. Full, deeply caramelized, medium toast barley malt, spiced floral hops, for the aroma. Good amount of body, with a good bite, in the hop department. Very firm, mixed lemon/grapefruit peel flavor and bite, with a caramel tinged, medium toasted malt base, with the slightest spiced citrus peel taste, through the finish.

Dark copper-red, almost brown, with a creamy, khaki head.

Smell is caramel cut quickly by dank bright hops, with accents of grass and bread.

With a big froth, but a medium-light body finishing semi-wet, the palate entails semi-bitter grass and weeds, grapefruit, orange and pine.
