Pours a deep flat black color with a small light tan colored head.
Aromas are light cocoa, bitter bakers chocolate, and earthy hops. Smells nice, but the nose is kind of faint.
Taste is nice. Chocolate and creamy sweetness up front. Finish is crisp, with a good earthy hop bite. Tasty and well balanced.
Mouthfeel is pretty good. Not perfect, feels like it is a bit on the thin side.
Overall, a pretty nice example of the style. It's not great, but it's solid and quite drinkable. One of the better offerings from Six Rivers.
