From a 22oz bottle sticker-coded 0716 14 which I hope just means July 16th and not July 16th of 2014. In any event, I poured it into a tulip and I drank it all up.
Pours a clouded burnt-orange colour with big carbonation bubbles and a finger of loose, sudsy, off-white foam. Retention is reasonably good and leaves a little lacing and a decent ring of suds.
Smells of apples and oranges, wet cereal and soap.
Tastes of sweet caramel, damp oats, apple juice, grapes and cigar-ends, grassy, with a little spicy sticky bitterness at the end.
Feel is medium-bodied, a little syrupy but well carbonated.
Overall, not nearly as bad as I made it sound. In fact, it's probably a fairly authentic take on a traditional English which, having become so accustomed to American-style IPA, I may not be well-qualified to appreciate. At any rate, I liked it well enough although I probably wouldn't bother another time.

Poured into a Lost Abbey stemmed tulip glass, not sure when it was bottled. Pours an attractive orange with a 2 inch head, that leaves behind some lace.
Smell is floural, orange peel, mild pine, biscuit, and grapefruit.
Taste follows very tame, no bite what so ever, not bad just blah.
Mouthfeel is thin, enough life, not dry, and easy drinking.
Overall this is o.k at best.

Bottle from Bert's
mostly clear deep golden color with a decent sized off white head. Hint of DMS when first opened, but that dissipated. Grassy earthy pine hops with a solid bready caramel maltiness. Lightly fruity faint mineral and yeastiness screams English inspired. Not too shabby.

From the 650 ml. bottle that was bottled on Feb 12, 2016. Sampled on February 21, 2016.
The pour is medium amber with a slight reddish hue and a modest off-white head.
The aroma has a more caramel malt distinction with earthy and slightly spicy hops in the background. This is not in your face.
Medium body.
The taste is more sweet and malty than hoppy. The hops balance out the beer with a short-lived bitterness. I enjoyed it but I think hop heads will not be as accepting of it.
