From a crowler obtained at the brewery on November 30, 2018. Sampled on November 30, 2018.
The pour is a striking looking red-pink tone with a quick-lived off-white fizzy head and no lacing. It is brewed with cherries so that was the reason behind its color.
The aroma emits a more forward cherry fruitiness, a less notable Belgian toasted pale malt sensation, a little wood, and a touch of booze. Little to no Belgian spice character.
Light to medium and smooth mouthfeel.
The taste brings out the tartness of the 20 pounds of cherries they put in the mix and a dry, lingering finish. Booze is buried but once I got through the crowler, I felt it.
