This is a historical recreation of what the original IPA tasted like back when it was actually shipped to India. Massively hopped with traditional East Kent Goldings (140 calculated IBUs) and heavily dry hopped the beer then was aged with Brettanomyces for 4 months and then an additional month in the bottle. Huge funk in the nose blending perfectly with the fruity hops and yeast character. Taste the history! (8.1% ABV)
This beer is dedicated to Krishnamurti, an Indian philosopher whose ideas have been influential to us for many years.

Appearance: Very cloudy, with a dull honey color; the head reaches a couple of fingers high, with a dancing pattern of lacing hanging around
Smell: Stone fruit pervades, with leathery Brett tones; honeyed and earthy with strong mineral tones
Taste: Stone fruit with honey, up front, with a growing earthy bitterness through the middle; Bretty with a stong mineral character, through the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: I am surprised (and quite interested) to see that IPAs back in 1840 were brewed with Brett; everything else, from the Burton water character, the earthy hops and the fruity yeast was as expected; not sure I would enjoy drinking this very often, but it is interesting
