Mostly clear yellow capped with a hefty layer of sudsy foam. Aromas of light dusty stone fruit, grain, flowers, minerals, and sharp, earthy wild yeast (reminiscent of Fonta Flora). Interesting flavors of apricot, nectarine, and pear juice over a grainy sweetness. The wild, earthiness is here too, but softer, developing a tartness. Fruity yeast esters. Slick medium body finishing with a little bit of a bite.

never heard of these guys before my buddy brought a bottle back from his travel out east. the packaging is gorgeous, and it says carolina native ale, not wild ale, but i am almost certain this is the correct listing. clear goldenrod heady brew, lively. it has a cool malt profile, some pils and something a little richer, but the pils malt, which apparently is locally malted, has a lot of flavor, bready, light but still distinct, and i think something that helps this stand out as different. the yeast is bretty, wild, but also sort of new, not real developed yet, the beer isnt insanely funky or dry, and i think the interesting grain complexion helps it be unique and memorable without being super wild in overall flavor. there is a decent little citrusy bitterness here too with the yeast in the end, a dry hopped vibe, and more body than it seems like it should have. i like it feeling a little bigger and then being super well carbonated, it has an almost richness about it, without being sweet, more earthy, hearty, organic feeling. this beer gives me a lot of confidence that we will all know a whole lot more about these guys in the years to come. the quality is very high, the attention to detail noticeable, and the use of cool ingredients well showcased in this beer. i will look forward to having more of their stuff, and to seeing how this one ages. i imagine it funking out and drying up a bit, and being that much more compelling. fun stuff!

This one was all over the place for me. Clearly a well put together beer, but it felt like it wanted to be a couple of different things. The result is a sneaky earthy, straw like wild ale. Has a nice crisp and dry feel, but the taste could be a little more full with the fruits
