A traditional Belgian strong ale, this strong (9.7% ABV) blonde ale is brewed using Belgian pilsner and wheat malts and highlights our house Flemish yeast strain. We then hand peeled 250 tangerines and added them post fermentation.
The delicate citrus notes from the tangerines compliment the fruity yeast character. The flavor is crisp with a hint of malt sweetness. Scarily drinkable considering its strength.

L: Poured from a bottle to a goblet. Had a bright orange color and a cloudy consistency. There was an inch of creamy, bright white, extremely long-lasting head. Lots of lacing.
S: A very enticing aroma of Belgian yeast, hops, citrus fruit, malt, and candi sugar.
T: Tasted of a small amount of hops (barely noticeable), some Belgian-style yeast, lots of citrus fruit (the advertised tangerine), light malt, and some candi sugar notes. The flavor isn't entirely the classic tripel style, but it still manages to be effervescent, light, and tasty. Subtle and well-balanced.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a dry finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This is a well made, slightly offbeat tripel. If you're looking for something different, give it a shot.
