So this beer IMO is an American Barleywine and not English. It’s got the aggressive hop profile giving this a more pronounced bitterness. It’s a chewy big beer. Some sweetness is noted. Not getting much barrel aged notes, maybe the rye pushes the bitterness some. Overall, I enjoyed this beer as a more Of a throwback American BW.
