Pour dark even though it's not heavy no light showing thru fluffy tan head falls slow with good sheet lace.
Aroma is roasted, loads of caramel and coffee, earthy notes underneath.
Taste is nice punching above the 5 %. Loads of caramel, roasted coffee with an earthy herbal bitterness bite even with some age on it.
Mouthfeel is medium lightly peppy carbonation.
Overall a good flavorable porter that is loaded with goodness.

Appearance: Pours espresso colored with a buoyant beige head; excellent retention with clumpy lacing lingering
Smell: Roasted malt, black bread and chocolate with bitter piney tones
Taste: Quite roasty, up front, with a chalky chocolate and black bread aspect emerging; piney bitterness, through the middle; the flavors mesh together in the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation
Overall: A nice grande finale to the series, bringing lots of roasted and piney flavors that please an American palate

Last of the box of six vintage porters purchased at the brewery this past Christmas.
Poured into the provided teku glass. Rich dark brown color with a fluffy light brown, slightly effervescent head and good curtain lacing. Smell of caramel and dark roasted coffee. Very nice earthy, bitter finish. Full, silky feel. Supposed to mimic the original Anchor porter, this is definitely a beer I would drink again.
