Changed travel recently and I think the recipe. Loving the balance between hops, barley, and alcohol. Slightly sweeter than most IPAs yet less than before. Overall balanced IPA.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, peach, apricot, pineapple, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, light pine, caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, peach, apricot, pineapple, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Large amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, peach, apricot, pineapple, mango, melon, lemon/orange rind, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance. Moderate dryness from bitterness that increases through the glass; leading to some light lingering hop astringency, but not unpleasant levels. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, sticky/resinous, and lightly grainy/creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink, even with the aggressive bitterness. A very enjoyable offering.

Full pint glass at the brewery.
It is a deep/dark amber color. Frohty off-white to tan head.
Smells pretty fruity. Very tropical. Reminds me of White Rajah a bit.
I dont think it tastes quite as good as it smells mainly because the bitterness is very harsh and lingering. Otherwise, there are loads of pineapple, mango, melon, red grapefruit, and some flowery hops.
Body is a hair heavy for 6.5%. Nice full, fluffy feel, but not real easy drinking.
By far the best beer I had here

This was kind of dank, ruggy and grahamy. Meh, also too sharply bitter. All their stuff leans hard in this direction. I don't know what they're going for but need to achieve balance before you can go bigger.

This is a damn good IPA. On tap at Outback Steakhouse. This is a local brew made only a mile or so from where I'm sitting. It smells like a tropical hop orgasm. Tropical fruits with some citrus and pine abound. Taste follows, but slightly less intense. Great great IPA.
