Nice dark body with a thin tan head. Laciness of the head sticks nicely to the side of the glass. Smell is of light roasted malts, lack of prevalent character. Taste is light and underwhelming. One has to search for the malts among the hops and fruits. For a stout, the feel is very thin. Dissipates nicely on the back of the palate though. Overall, the character of this beer reminds me more of a black IPA than a stout.

Not a foreign stout according to todays brewers association rule book. This Tropical Stout is sweet, citrusy and to die for! I could drink this year round.
