Deep black color with a thick caramel head with good retention.
Aroma with notes of grapes, dark chocolate, oat, some licorice, a bit of smoke, grains and cocoa.
Flavor with notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, grapes, piney and earthy hops, toasted and some smoked malts, spices and licorice. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness.
Bordering medium body, lighter than usual for style. Alcohol is well disguised, but it is just 7% abv.
This is not a kick-ass Imperial Stout, but it is very pleasant and drinkable. And still it has most of the expected flavors.
