Saint Lucy is the patron saint of wheat, making her perfect for us to name this beer after! 50/50 wheat/barley, this beer derives its banana and clove flavors from the yeast doing their thing.

Looks pretty good, hazy yellow/gold, fluffy white head that dissipates.
Underwhelming smell, only a slight hint of the style.
The taste is all wrong, it’s way too bitter. Hefeweizen is supposed to be about the wheat and the malt. This tastes like an IPA brewed with Hefeweizen yeast. Not even close to being good. I really like most of the other brews I’ve had from them so this was a big disappointment.

I had a can of this beer after playing two game of hockey this evening. I had it with pizza from my son’s shop and with good friends. I drank it straight from the can but the can itself was ok, nothing inspirational, pardon my pun due to this breweries somewhat overdone religious theme. The beer tasted and felt fine. Kind of hard to smell but it seemed fine. Overall, the beer was good and I enjoyed it with my pizza and friends, and I would not turn down one if offered.
Also, we have a golden retriever named Lucy who is visiting us so her mom was able to play in our hockey tournament. The dog’s mom, Kassie, scored three goals!

Pour is a cloudy golden yellow with a thick fluffy white head
Nose is banana, clove, bubblegum
Taste is banana, clove, bubble gum, a moderate grassy earthy hop character - not bad - but more than to style.

Small pour. Pours a very hazy golden color with a small foamy head. Head retention is minimal and lacing is virtually nonexistent. Mild clove. Aroma not up to par with hefe. More banana. Mild clove. Peppery. Lemon on the end.
