crisp and refreshing. I typically go for DIPAs or sessions IPAs over IPLs, but I live very close castle and swear by their beer. This is good. Taste up front is piney hops, transitioning to a citrus hop and breach malt after taste. Carbonation is just right and the aftertaste is slightly dry. A very good offering from castle island. Not my first choice from them but I would
Never pass it up. Cheers

A- Tallboy cascades into my tall chalice with a slightly hazy pale golden body and a one finger, creamy white head. The cap has pretty good retention and it leaves spotty lacing.
S- Right around medium strength of hop aroma with hops making up most of the smell besides a hint of pale grain, bread and light malts to balance it out. Hops give notes of bubble gum, mango, papaya, dank herbs, floral things and a bit of citrus; on the softer, juicy side.
T- As the aroma suggests, the hops are the driving force for the taste as well but a bit of a shift towards citrus and bitterness like grapefruit and orange joining the party. Hints of mango, bubble gum, tropical/stone fruits, floral, herbal, dank, mandarin and pine hops. Just a hint of sweetness with pale malts and bread forming a bit of a balance.
MF- Light body with a slightly frothy texture. The carbonation is on the high side and it all ends with a light bitterness. Fairly silky.
A fairly good IPL that combines medium strength hops and a light malty backdrop. Think citrus, light stone fruits, tropical and bread.

This IPL is among the best of the products I've tasted from this fine brewery. I was lucky enough to obtain a can in a trade but, in my next trip to MA, I'll hunt down a 6-pack. I certainly hope that this will become part of their regular product line rather than only making a brief appearance as a seasonal.

Picked-up a six-pack at Kappy's in Norwell for about twelve dollars. Solid, but not a great brew. A big fan of this brewery, I have liked every one of their brews that I have tasted. Would not seek out, but would buy again.

Canned on 6/29/17; drank on 7/16/17 during GoT season premiere; uses Centennial, Simcoe, Citra, and Rakau hops; excellent IPL
