Could be interesting, could be terrible, depends on the spices. Canned 1/17/19
Pours a medium sized off-white almost tan somewhat creamy dense head, medium to lower retention, mild lacing, dark mahogany brown color
Nose brings the spices, ginger, cardamom I think, maybe all-spice or grains of paradise, it has a fair amount of chai tea like aromas, I do get the porter under that, some caramel and chocolate, hint of roast and more dark chocolate like,
Taste mild rich porter base, caramel, some milk and roasty dark chocolate, a little roasted malt and hint of coffee, some sweet syrup like notes, then spices, more chai tea, ginger, cardamom, grains of paradise, some combination of those spices, starts tolerable but then increases quite a bit as the finish dries a bit, and accentuates the spicy hop bitter finish and gets nagging and incessant, and a bit of milk chocolate lingering
Mouth is med bod, a bit rich, medium-light carb
Overall not too bad, spices are a bit overwhelming, especially on the aroma and the finish of the taste, base porter seems pretty good, and the initial spice level is nice, but just tough to drink in the end, especially as it warms, maybe more carbonation would help a well

Not a fan of ginger in my porter.
