Pours a light fizzy head with basically zero retention, semi hazy honey blonde color
Nose very pungent, lime zest, orange candy, tart acidity and some sour lemon lime, mild sweet golden malt but a acidified sour malt like, a bit floral as well, some mild peppery notes
Taste fairly tart, quite margarita beer like, big lime, candied sweet lemon lime jelly, orange juice, some chili pepper with flavor and some heat, a touch smokey as well adding to some tequila like flavors, fair sourness and acidity, with mild sour mash golden malt, a bit of salt on the back end, with a lot more pepper heat but not overly hot, a bit flemmy on the finish as well with lingering lime juice
Mouth is med to a bit fuller bod, a bit flemmy, fair acidity and tart sourness, med carb, some pepper heat and touch of alcohol warmth
Overall this was quite nice, the smoky character hinted at tequila going with the nice lime and orange, a bit on the sweet side but margaritas are like that, but the sour mash golden malt saved it from being a fake beer, I also liked the pepper heat and flavor

It’s always interesting to see these beers with peppers in a base beer that isn’t a stout. This one is a fruited sour with lime, orange, chile, and salt. I’m interested to see how the peppers will play with the tartness, it might end up kinda like a chelada but we’ll just have to pop it open and find out
Pours a mostly cloudy orange with a finger of white head that very quickly fades to nothing and leaves no lacing
Oof, the nose on this one sure is strange, melding the heat with the fruit in an odd way. I’m picking up on aromas of sea salt, chili powder, lime peel, toast, black pepper, and tangerine
I wouldn’t exactly call this balanced, but it’s much better in taste. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting tart lime, orange juice, chili powder, crackery malt, cinnamon, and lemon peel. The swallow brings notes of tart limeade, chili powder, pineapple juice, and crackery malt. It’s not complex but it’s weird enough to be relatively tasty
A medium body pairs with moderate tingling carbonation, resulting in a crisp and zesty beer. Finishes dry with an earthy spice
This one wasn’t too bad the more I worked through it. It drinks much lower than the listed 7.4% so that’s nice. I wouldn’t repeat it but I wouldn’t turn it down either

I'm currently obsessed with this beer. It's got the perfect sour punch balanced with heat and sweetness. I got it for my trip to the Cape and it seems fitting that while enjoying it there were 2 shark sightings at our beach. Intense beer pairing nicely with an intense day at the beach! I'm now driving around to all my local package stores to buy up their seasonal stock before it disappears.
