This is an Imperial Brown Ale and no such category exists. So I placed it in the American Brown Ale section.
Dark brown color where only a modicum of light comes through. Small head that disappears during the tasting. No lasting lace.
The smell reminds me of dried and sugar coated berries. Little chocolate or cocoa. No coffee. Brown sugar and vanilla are strongest to the nose.
The taste has a strong cinnamon kick. The aforementioned vanilla is also prevalent. Not boozy at all until the subtle aftertaste. Appropriate body and carbonation for the style. The finish is spicy in a pumpkin pie way with the cinnamon and vanilla culminating in the swallow.
