From the brewer: slightly hazy dark gold to amber stout with aroma of of lightly roasted coffee and a palate of vanilla, coffee, and brown sugar/toffee.
Cloudy, amber color. Small but lasting head leaving a few streaks and spots.
The smell is surprisingly clean and light. I do not get any coffee, vanilla, or toffee. Instead, I'm reminded of a freshly washed glass or a mild sour.
The flavor fits the brewer's description better. I get the coffee and the vanilla. Richer body with an elevated effervescence. There's a light sweetness that balances the bitter coffee flavors.
