Deep dark brown with a ruby hue. Light does not pass through the edge of the glass. Modest beige head but it leaves no lacing.
Sweet brandy to cherry liqueur smell. There's some graham cracker and chocolates notes--a Marshmallow short of a s'more. I also pick up a bit of honey.
Extraordinarily rich, even with a moderate carbonation level. Very boozy with a cutting almost mint-like bite. Yet, I wouldn't describe this as minty. There's some cocoa but it's not that sweet. I recognize I'm describing this beer around the fringes as it defies description.
