From a nitro pour, it needed two separate fillings about 3 minutes apart. Beautiful upward cascading bubbles to the dense off-white head. Impressive thick blanket of lace after each sip, coating the glass in foam. The liquid is deep but light does shine through the glass edge quite easily.
Mild burnt black patent malt aroma. Some dark chocolate but no notable coffee (like I like it!).
Creamy body with a “carbonation” so fine that it feels like it’s not there. Smooth, dry Baker’s Chocolate flavor that becomes bitterly burnt only at the swallow. The finish is nearly ashen and leaves a lengthy aftertaste.
