Ruby brown color where bright light can pass through the center of the glass. Minor head that calms down to rim bubbles and leaves only a rare spot or streak after each sip.

Treacle sweetness up front—a bit of molasses and toffee. It smells rich and thick. No hop and no notable alcohol to the nose.

Much thinner than the style suggests. This is furthered by a higher carbonation level. The flavor is sweet with caramel but not nearly as sweet as the smell. I also pickup a light level of bittering hop. Not that this beer is balanced, but it isn’t cloying. The finish has a touch of milk chocolate.
