We peeled off some ripe, dry hopped Keeper just before cold crashing and infused about 1#/BBL of raw, crisp Colorado Blue Spruce tips in the beer at warm temp for several additional days. The beer was then crashed and the kegs were racked and filled directly off the spruce resulting in the most raw and potent of holiday treats served in a glass. Expect the beer you know and love but with the most wonderful additional
layer of resiny pine, vibrant cedar, grapefruit citrus and faint menthol sweetness to hit both taprooms.

Light amber color. Crystal clear. Above average dense head that fades but never gets depleted. Initial blanketing lace. Wide streaks thereafter.
Flowery, freshly crushed hop cone aroma. Background berry sweetness. Well balanced.
The taste disappoints as the spruce is too powerful and harsh. The flavor starts off fine with a solid roasted malt. The finish, though, is like tasting pine resin. It’s completely distracting—a clear miss, which is unfortunate as the beer has such strong potential. I will struggle to finish this beer.
