L-Huh.. This must be a new style... The can is absolutely deceiving. Pours an amber looking brew with an extremely small head that ends up in a glass hugging lace. You can barely see through the brown translucent beer. Dark ale like for sure.
S-Smells of caramel, malt, some hop and sweet brown sugar. I also get a faint aroma of apple and the similar fruit, pear. Sweet pastry bread is also present here. Interesting.
T- Very close to the smell... Sweet caramel and malt, with a deep apple and almost cinnamon spice present. Very apple cider-esque. Interesting flavor for sure. A bit too much boozeyness as well.
F-Unbelievably thick and syrupy... Almost uncomfortably thick. I don't know what else to say. Had the mouthfeel of actual apple cider. Not what I expected and not really what I wanted at all.
O-A shot in the dark to be honest. I've never heard of a white stout and don't really understand the concept, but this beer is absolutely too much in the wrong direction in my opinion. There are definitely some positives to this beer but they don't outweigh the negatives in any sense. Doubt anyone will read this but if this beer gains some popularity I'd tread lightly.
