An amber colored, medium bodied German Altbier with hits of toffee and caramel. Smooth and satisfying!

From notes, on-tap at the brewpub in Lake Havasu over Spring Break.
Pour is a fairly dark amber/mahogany with a scant khaki head.
Nose is light bready malt, a hint of floral hops, and some "fruit"
Taste is lightly hoppy up front followed by a mellow sweet caramel malt toastiness.
A little thin in the mouth with crisp carbonation.
An easy drinker, no-nonsense yet ultimately-uninspiring, typical "red ale". Meh.

Note: On Draught @ Papago Brewery
The beer pours a transpicuous copper to deep amber color with the portly in size, the texture a nice somewhat creamy light tan or beige if you so desire, as it dissipates, a fine coating of lace forms to hides the glass. Crisp citrus like tones at the front sweet malt underlies it all, nice and fresh, start is sweet and nicely malted, with the top a bit slender. Crisply acidic at the finish, hops are sparing in their spiciness, droughty after taste, a nice drinking beer and one that will suit most palates.
